We love your fenders, they’re easy to inflate, well made, they don’t mark the paint, and so versatile you can hang them whichever way you choose.
One of the fenders had a broken valve and would not inflate. Otherwise they are all working well.

Vinyl wrapping is becoming increasingly popular among New Zealand boat owners for its clean, modern look and easy customisation. However, vinyl wraps are more delicate than traditional gelcoat and painted finishes and can be easily damaged by boat or marina fenders. Most fenders are made from PVC, which tends to grip and drag on the wrap’s surface. When that happens, it can scuff, lift, or tear the vinyl — especially during docking or rafting up.
For boats kept in a New Zealand marina berth, the most effective protection is to install dock wheels fitted with fleece dock-wheel covers. When your boat contacts the dock, the soft fleece surface allows the wheel to rotate smoothly along the vinyl wrap instead of dragging against it. This greatly reduces friction and helps prevent marks or abrasions caused by fender and dock contact.
Rafting up is common in New Zealand bays and harbours, particularly over summer. But when boats are rafted together, they move both vertically and sideways with passing wakes and wind. This constant motion can quickly wear down a vinyl-wrapped hull if the incorrect fenders or covers are used. Using fleece fender covers provides a much softer barrier, reducing friction and protecting the wrap from scuffing during raft-ups or when anchored close to others.
Whatever type of fender or cover you use, keeping it clean is essential. Salt crystals and dirt from New Zealand’s coastal waters are abrasive and can damage your wrap over time. Regularly rinse your fenders, covers, and hull with fresh water, and wash off any salt build-up after each trip. The cleaner your fender covers and vinyl wrap stay, the longer the vinyl wrap will last and look great in New Zealand's Marine Environment.
